Walk to your medicine cabinet with me.... Open up the door. (for pretend in your imagination) Now, select a product and take it medicinally. (FOR PRETEND!!! Work with me here....) Ok got it? Next, turn around and clean your toilet with it. Great work. And THEN, go make chicken with it for supper. (gasp) Why are you laughing? That's ridiculous right? You'd poison your family!!! You can't use the SAME products for medicine, toilets and chicken, CAN YOU!?!?!?! GUESS WHAT? I can!!! AND DO, all the time!!!! The same lemon oil I use from my "bathroom cabinet" (now my oil box) for health, I can use to clean my home safely, AND cook a delicious meal with it! THAT IS THE POWER OF NATURAL PRODUCTS!!! I can use my oils everyday, in every way in every room of my home. SO STINKING COOL! Here is the recipe for the Wild Orange Pork Chops, I hinted at earlier in our series: Ingredients
Place 9 – 1 inch thick pork loin chops in a glass baking dish, rub each side with kosher salt and cracked pepper. Roll and press oranges to create more juice. Squeeze by hand or use a hand-held juicer, squeezing into a glass bowl. Then add to it, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, pressed garlic and 4 drops of Wild Orange Essential oil. Pour over meat and cover for 1-2 hours, flipping meat part way through. We grill over wood heat, but prepare your grill as you normally would. Place marinated chops on the hot grates for 2-3 minutes per side. Move chops to the side of the grill away from the heat source and close lid for an additional 20 minutes, or until your internal temperature reaches a safe 155 degrees. Let rest for 10 minutes, then serve hot with your favorite sides. Enjoy your savory delicious orange chops! Hungry yet? We are ONLY GETTING STARTED! :) On Mexican night, I add Lime oil and a drop of Cilantro oil to my dishes. In the taco chicken, in the beans, in the water or broth of the rice, in the guacamole. YUM! Tastes like I went and bought fresh!!! One of my favs is adding cilantro oil to the bean layer of this amazing 7 layer dip, and a drop of lime into the guacamole layer. People look for the cilantro, because they cannot believe they can taste it but not see it! Here is my recipe from the treasure troves of the 4 little Ferguson's site. I STILL make tons of recipes from there, do you!? Man I cooked a lot. hahaha :) 4 little Ferguson's 7 Layer Dip Recipe On Italian night, I add basil, oregano, thyme and rosemary to my spaghetti sauce, right at the end. Or in the lasagna layers! Tastes like I went to the garden and picked FRESH HERBS!!!! 4 little Ferguson's Garden Spaghetti Sauce, stir in oils of choice right at the end. Maybe just a drop of each to start. Taste and decide. When its time for Asian or Chinese dishes, I add doTERRA Ginger and Lemongrass oils to your meat, stir fry sauce, or rice water! HOLY AMAZING!!!! 4 little Ferguson's Top 10 Chinese Dishes You can check out more DELICIOUS recipes here. This pinterest style board, let's you click on images and check out the recipes! Click here. You can make dessert with your oils, too! Remember, this is special to doTERRA because of their purity standards. Don't just go get any oil off the shelf of the super market and try this! You can make: Lemon pie. Key lime pie. Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies. Peppermint Brownies. And the list goes on and on..... Dark Chocolate Wild Orange Brownies are a hit every fall at our house! Use this recipe, just add some orange oil to the batter AND the frosting! 4 little Ferguson's Orange Cream Cheese Brownies just add 3 to 6 drops to your raw batter, and another couple to your frosting recipe. AMAAAZING! Here is an EASY way to tell if your doTERRA Oils are able to be put in your water, or in your cooking: I don't recommend you go make "Breathe Pie"! Haha, check it out. Easy, right?!
We want to educate you on how to safely and effectively use these oils in your home. Where you surprised about using oils in SO many ways? Which oil infused recipe will you try first? U is for Urine
Maybe you go too much. Maybe you hold extra water. Maybe you leak, or burn when you do go. We have an oil for that! In fact, you will find there is an oil for everything....... Literally EVERYTHING! :) Oils can support your body where you are, and help take you where you want to go. Some oils that are great for this system of the body are: Cypress & Juniper Berry: 15 drops Cypress & 15 Juniper Berry in a 10ml roller and FCO to the top. (FCO is Fractionated Coconut oil. DoTERRA has a great scent free, light weight one that doesn't stain clothes!) Lemon oil added to your stainless steel water cup to FLUSH the body organs that help filter everything to make sure they keep working well and not burning. Grapefruit in your water for flushing extra bulk caused by water retention.
V is for {a little something that makes you feel awful and achey}
Oregano is called the most powerful immune support found in Nature. I don’t care what they call it, I just know it WORKS! This bad boy will kick whatever ails you right out the door! There is not much I can say without being super non compliant, so I will instead, copy from doTERRA's website, and teach you more later when we do a class. ;) Oregano is a hot oil, so it belongs on feet bottoms. It's also great for areas of your skin that have a little tag hanging off them. I applied 4 times in 3 days, covered with a fabric bandaid (surround tag with fco for protecting healthy skin) and the stupid thing went flat, turned black and fell off!!! No damage left behind and no more awful little flap of skin on my chest! WOO HOOOOO!!!!

W is for WOW and Wrinkles and Wholy
Ok ok, holy with an H, but still. This was a precious gift for the King of Kings! Wow! Did you know essential oils are mentioned over 350 times in the Bible? Pretty cool, right?! Oils aren't new, they are just BACK in the limelight!!!! Frankincense is called the KING of all essential oils, isn't that cool!? That's because its good for EVERYTHING! In fact, if you don't know what else to do, grab Frank. He's a good guy and he'll take care of you! Frankincense is a great for supporting youthful skin, helping with severe head discomfort, bringing the brain to neutral and so so much more then I can name. It's a DRIVER, so anytime you add it on top of other oils with FCO, it makes the other oils BIGGER and go DEEPER and be STRONGER! It's a powerhouse oil for sure.
X is for I am so eXcited to teach you about these OILS!!!! Ok fine, X is for nothing in my oil box, but I tried! Haha, I really do love my job as an essential oil educator.
Did you know that doTERRA has a goal to help your home get healthy not only in body but in FINANCES as well? Dale was able to retire at age 34 from the insurance industry, because as I shared oils, doTERRA compensated us generously, and we totally replaced his income! WOW, thanks Lord! Now, we are living 6 figure happy from the comfort of our home on wheels. I promise, you don't HAVE to sell your house and live in an RV to do doTERRA successfully! Haha, but it IS fun if you want to. ;) You can totally build doTERRA from the comfort of your home. My point is that doTERRA is the vehicle to get you to your dreams. My dreams just happen to involve an RV! haha!
You are in the business FOR yourself, but you are never in the business BY yourself!
We offer team support, encouragement, training and classes. AND, we are mobile! You can chose to train with us, HANDS ON, in real life! We are always looking for business partners to run this race with, to financial freedom. DoTERRA is a billion dollar debt free company. They want you FREE TO GIVE! How cool would it be to make enough to live off 20% of your income, and give the rest away? WOW. What a difference we could make! Take a few minutes and watch this video. You guys!!!! It's SO SO amazingly good. I want you to carve out some time to do it, then come comment when you are done.... So, ask yourself, are you building a pipeline in your current job? Or are you hauling buckets?
Y is for Yawn
Melatonin is an important part of sleep, GOOD sleep. That is where CEDARWOOD comes in. It supports your body's ability to make it's OWN. Just swipe it across your forehead, dump some in your diffuser and head to bed! Add balance oil, serenity oil and serenity pills for the BEST SLEEP OF YOUR LIFE! These oils combined are also so very good for children who have difficulty focusing at school or have some extra challenges in life.
Z is for ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
Did you know that when you rest, you regenerate, restore and heal? If you aren't sleeping, you aren't living to your FULL potential! Use these oils to help support the bodies ability to REST, plus the cedarwood we discussed above.
Comment after you watched the Pipes video above - under the letter X. It's only 3 minutes long.....
Go on, I'll wait. OH MY WORD, isn't that GOOD?!?!??! WOWOWOWOWOW!!!!! Tell me what you thought in comments! And answer these questions: Are you hauling buckets? Do you want to create a pipeline instead?
You were born to do more then live, work and die. So take your life back!
DoTERRA's goal is healthy happy homes AND healthy happy finances, and they are doing it everyday! We are blessed to LIVE IT! Remember, every comment this week equals a chance to win the oils I am giving away at the end of our series! Use the contact me form on this page, and we'll set up a time to chat! Hugs, T Just tuning in? Catch up here! Series starts with doTERRA: Gift of the Earth doTERRA is the MOST tested and the MOST trusted essential oil company in the world! DoTERRA is a SCIENCE company.........No hocus pocus, voodoo magic here. ;) We have 10 doctors and 30 scientists that work with us and for us to make sure you are getting the best, safest, most natural oil on the market. We test every oil! Every vat, every batch, every day, every time to ensure that your oil is still pure. Free of pesticides, contaminates and fillers. Did you know you can access the testing results? Yup, just scan the little QR code on your doTERRA bottle and you can check it all out. You science lovers will flip over it! No secrets here. We have nothing to hide! Source to You is a treasure trove of science info, info about our farmers, who we are...all kinds of amazing things! Take 3 minutes and go check it out, then come back to me and continue. Go on, I'll wait. Click here Back to our alphabet! Yesterday I left you hanging at O for Orange. Remind me to share my Wild Orange Porkchop recipe with you on here sometime! YUMMO! P is for Peppermint Beadlets 2 of our oils come in beadlet form. This is convenient for your car or purse! I use On Guard beadlets on the way to church when I realize we forgot to get oiled up with our immune booster, before we left the house. Oopsie! Peppermint beadlets are a great replacement for sugary sweet mints, and harmful, chemical laden gum. Fresh breath starts in the gut, and peppermint will help with digesting. The beadlets are only about the size of a tapioca pellet, so super easy way to get oils into your kiddos for immune support. You can swallow them right down in your tummy, or my kids like to pop them in their mouth on purpose for a FRESH BURST of oil in there! Q is for Quaint Bamboo Box When you get your kit of oils, you will want to be able to organize them nicely!! This bamboo box comes with my favorite kit, the Natural Solutions kit. You can stay nicely organized. No knocking all the oils out of your cabinet as you dig for one. Just use the stickers doTERRA sends out with your kit to label the tops for easy finding and viola! R is for Relaxing Life is stressful, and there is just so much stimuli around us with media at our fingertips at all times. Quiet your mind, promote restful deep sleep by putting away your cell phone at least 15 minutes before bed. The Bible says to BE STILL, and the Lord ain't a jokin! I can achieve an overall sense of peace and calm with both Serenity and Balance oils. We use them for daytime stress AND nightime sleep! Neat right?! I love how oils meet our bodies where they are, and take them where they need to go. So in the day time, manage stress. But at night, take me into restful slumber. These buddy oils, are great for mood lifting and centering. Balance oil acts like a lighting rod, it’s very grounding. Serenity relaxes you around your new found ground. Cedarwood can be added to a roller with the other 2, to help a child process better at school. To overcome some sensory issues and even just to not be so grumpy! :) Add Elevation oil on the heart for some serious mood adjusting, together these 3 oils would have wonderful health benefits for those suffering from periods of sadness. Serenity comes in oil form, but has a partner in crime in pill form. I call these my tranquilizer darts, because I am falling asleep before my head hits the pillow and waking up deeply rested, before my alarm. I am NO morning person! This is amazing! S is for Sneezing and Snot (With a side of runny nose and itchy, watery eyes from Seasonal Distress!) Good bye seasonal discomfort, hello, relief. It's as easy as taking a SHOT. No, no, not a shot in the arm!!!!!! A shot glass of water with a few drops of oils in it. 2 drops of each of the pictured oils, in a splash of water, and down the hatch it goes! Prepare to be amazed. Oils metabolize quickly, they don't linger in the body, so its really important that you repeat this often. Our rule of thumb is, every 15 minutes until you get relief, and then every hour until you are sure its GONE! And it will be, quickly. Pretty stinking awesome! T is for Tummy Issues Digestzen is about to be your Best Friend. It’s one of the most used oils in our home!!!!! It smells like a big ol sweet black jelly bean, but I love it. I sneak it under my shirt and rub it around my belly button and get relief FASTER then I can screw the lid back on. (((((Even if its MY FAULT that I overate some amazing, rich food!)))) It can take a child from over the toilet, to playing again, in 20 minutes. Yup. AMAZING! I've watched it a ton of times over the last 3 years, and it STILL surprises me! We find it to be wonderfully soothing rubbed on the belly for discomfort, burning sensatio in the chest and throat, waves of discomfort from motion or pregnancy, or just bloating from eating heavy foods......Digestzen's got your back, er, BELLY! ;) Digestzen comes in pill form, for easy swallowing, roller form for rolling on the belly, or the oil pictured below. It also comes in a calcium based tablet form for you "Chalk Poppers" out there!! Those nasty chalk tablets have aluminum in them, they will kill you. Stop eating those and get some Digestzen in your life! Game. Changer. I am going to stop there until tomorrow. I want to let your brain DIGEST, all you have learned so far.....
We cannot possibly be surprised that our amazing Creator, made our bodies to use tools in nature for wellness and relief!!!! Thank you Lord for essential oils! :) Are you EXCITED to learn about these beautiful little gifts of the Earth and the amazing natural solutions they provide for your home? Comment below with your answer. Comment = entry to WIN WIN WIN! Hugs, T Need to contact me about oils and oil questions? Use the contact form on this website and I'll be in touch promptly! I want to help you get the BEST deal!
Today we are continuing our oil education series with some simple ABC's!
Oils work quickly on a cellular level. Each oil has HUNDREDS of compounds! These beautiful gifts of the earth, will meet the body where its at and takes it where it needs to go for optimal health. Essential oils work FAST! I often get relief faster than I can screw the lid back on, that's amazing!
Let's continue through our alphabet of uses!
I is for Immune Support
We have had WONDERFUL success using these products for immune support in our home. Remember, we talked about this yesterday? We use On Guard daily in the fall/winter before church, the store, or any activity outside our home, or at the first sign of not feeling quite right. I like to use the On Guard roller and roll the kids on the way out the door. So safe and easy!!!!! It's like putting them in a little on guard bubble! :)
Today I want to share with you, that On Guard also comes in a variety of household products, no more toxic chemicals in our house for washing, cleaning and dishwashing!
The average American is exposed to 1800 toxic chemicals before they even leave the walls of their own home. That's not ok! I want to help you choose better! We LOVE the orange, clove and cinnamon smells of these on guard products, and even more, the natural cleaning they offer.
J is for Joints
Deep Blue Oil and Deep Blue Rub are incredible for supporting healthy muscles and joints. Great for the aging, performance in athletes and muscle recovery after. We have entire athletic departments and chiropractic offices, utilizing this amazing lotion!!! And YES, it comes in a liter pump size! {not bathtub sized, YET} ;) When my kids wake up crying at night from growing during the night, we use this to massage and soothe. When I have a pinch in my neck causing head discomfort, this is what I reach for! The Deep Blue Polyphenol complex has 100mg of frankincense, a powerhouse oil, and 250mg of curcumin. Curcumin is turmeric, and turmeric is a wonderful support to the body in the way of inflammation! We use this for any discomfort!
K is for Killer Head Discomfort
Past Tense oil, in the roller container, feels cooling and wonderful when rolled across in a triangle on the base of the neck, back by your hairline. I use this for tight muscles in my shoulders and neck from a long day of working on the computer. Frankincense is wonderful for head discomfort, the kind that used to send me to bed for 3 days! Just turn the bottle over on your thumb, and press to the roof of your mouth OFTEN, as soon as you feel it coming! Lime is such a game changer for this issue, especially when rubbed on the temples. It just does something AMAZING. It's fresh, won't make you feel nauseated and it WORKS.
L is for LOVE
I love Diffusing! I will be sharing Diffuser recipes later this week, but for now, know you can use your doTERRA oils in this AMAZING 8 hour diffuser. Forget those toxic plug ins and wax burners. This diffuser, will take your safe, natural doTERRA oils, and break them down into micro-particals in the air These diffusers will improve mood and energy, and make your home smell amazing! I have 2 in the RV, and one I take to class with me. DoTERRA Diffusers will run all day long putting happy sunshine smells into the air of your home, it shuts itself off, and you refill it at night with sleepy oils for hours of support by your bed. I wouldn't be without it!!!! Seriously love picking new diffuser smells to try! In our support page we have an album FULL of over 100 different ideas for diffuser recipes!
M is for Monster Zits
Our Clear Skin line, is fantastic! We even have a roller I love to call my "Zit Stick" with all kind of amazing oils, already tucked into a roller for convenience. You will love the foaming facewash too! I use it in the shower and save the Essential Skincare line, which is SO luxurious and nice, before bed. Also look into face mapping! When my cheeks kept breaking out in adult acne, I looked up face mapping and getting acne on the cheeks meant lung support was needed. I used the Breathe oil accordingly and it cleared up really nicely!
N is for Nits
Lice HATE Melaleuca, known best by its street name, Tea Tree Oil. 30 drops of this oil, along with some rubbing alcohol and water to the top of your spray bottle, makes a great nit and lice spray. Part hair section by section, and spray with treatment recipe above. Let sit and comb with nit comb. Wipe comb off on a paper towel every pass through the hair. Dry with hot blow dryer, repeat daily. They hate Mela and they hate HEAT! Also works for prevention during an outbreak, just add a drop to shampoo or mist on daily, parting hair as you spray.
O is for Orange, Wild Orange to be exact
Great for recipes and diffusing, refreshing drinking water and energy! Your doTERRA oils can be used as the most beautiful, pure little cooking extracts! We make rosemary potatoes or lemon chicken, use basil oil in italian foods, cilantro and lime oils for a fresh tasting shrimp dish, peppermint oil added to brownie mix for a quick holiday treat or lemongrass and ginger for an Asian infusion. The possibilites are endless! I'll share more ideas later this week!
I also LOVE to drink oils in my water! Lime, lemon, orange and peppermint, frank and spearmint (tastes like a light tea), slim and sassy with grapefruit for flushing water weight and keeping me from making bad choices! ;) Oh my goodness, what else! OH, I love cinnamon bark water! (think fireball candy)
I drink almost 90 ounces a day now because of how GOOD my water tastes. I crave it! Here is the recipe for Orange Peppermint Spa Water, or Sunshine water as I call it! You actually only need a *touch* of peppermint, not a drop. Like you touch the top of your oil bottle and you touch your water. Viola, nice and minty!
One of my FAVORITE things since starting doTERRA, is that I feel ready for ANYTHING life throws our way. I feel empowered as a mother to reach for my book and my box of oils and fight and win quickly.
Also, being part of doTERRA has taught me how to be proactive, and use oils preventatively as well at at first sniffle, or first ache, or rise in body temp. Isn't that something? :) Watch this video as your last bit of education on today's blog, its like 3 minutes! WORTH IT.
What oil do you want the MOST after reading this post/watching that video, so you can be ready for ANYTHING?
Leave it in a comment below. Remember, I am giving away a bunch of oils at the end of our week. A comment = an entry each day! Tune in tomorrow for more OIL EDUCATION! Did you CRY yesterday during the Nepal video? Holy cow, I do everytime! Anyhow, I am so excited to dig into these beautiful gifts of the earth with you today and in the days to come! If you commit to commenting and following along with us each day, we are going to be giving away some GREAT bottles of oils to 8 lucky commenters, at the end of our oil week!!! YAY!!!!!!! :)
Let me tell you about WHY we picked doTERRA, after 4+ years of using another popular brand......
There is a reason doTERRA is the #1 oil company in the world! It comes down to potency, purity and humanitarian heart. I cannot wait to dig into these topics with you this week! First up, click and watch this short video:
Because of our purity standards and unsurpassed quality and testing, you can use your oils 3 ways. This is special to doTERRA!
Check out my video from my team orientation to learn more: So let's talk about some uses for these oils in YOUR life: I am going to do my best to be compliant, and still let you know what I am talking about! Haha :) If you see these, { } it means I have replaced the non compliant word, so its like a word puzzle. You can figure it out!
A is for An A Attack (Ack! I sound like a Dr Seuss book!)
This is one of many options for supporting healthy lung function. Rub on chest, back and feet bottoms, as needed during times of respiratory distress, or before a work out to improve oxygen flow. I like to take an empty roller and make a breathe roller using 15 breathe oil, 10 lime oil and 5 frankincense oil. Very effective and easy to roll on as needed! We call this the "Marriage Saver" for those LOUD noises coming from your spouses nose and mouth at bedtime!!!!!
Breathe also comes in stick form, and respiratory drops to suck on. Totally tasty, my kids used to fake sick for those, but I tell them to knock it off and go eat one. They are healthy! Brown rice cane syrup and essential oils. :)
B is for Burn
Lavender is the swiss army knife of essential oils, and has over 150 uses. It has hundreds of different compounds that do different jobs in your body. It's great for relaxing, teething, sleeping and so much more! Accidently grab your flat iron plates? Or lean on the stove? Grab lavender! Did you know if takes 30 pounds of lavender flower to make ONE 15 ml bottle of doTERRA lavender oil? Yup, that's because of doTERRA's amazing purity standards. No fillers, no pesticides, no contaminates. Lavender Touch is a convenience form of lavender oil, ready to roll on with fractionated coconut oil already in it, in a beautiful stainless steel roller topped bottle!
C is for Crud
On Guard with fractionated coconut oil rubbed on pulse points is what I use for supporting a healthy immune response in my family. Let's be honest, I'd love to put my kids in a bubble all winter, but I cannot. Instead, I simply apply doTERRA On Guard oil, daily, before we go. Preventative health is a very incredible way to support your family in wellness!!!!! On Guard comes in oil form, a super charged ninja fighter gel cap form for times of crud, beadlets for on the go immune supporting and On Guard throat lozenges. Those are great for germy airplane air, a scratchy throat, finding a missing voice, or just again, general health. You can keep these in your purse and eat them for a treat, totally yum! Brown rice cane sugar and on guard oil!
D is for Dogs
Sophie says to tell you that Terra Shield helps her with itchy fleas and mean ticks. We place drops along the inside of her collar every 2 weeks or so. We also mist her coat with this blend mixed with water, which I will share with you now. Our family uses it in our mosquito spray. No more yucky chemicals in this household! This homemade bug spray is perfect for us AND Sophie.
Comes in oil form & spray form for easy on the go in your purse or bag!
Here is the bug spray we use at home, smells amazing!

E is for Energy
In a world that tells you to grab a soda or monster drink, I am going to tell you there is a better way! NATURALLY! Life Long Vitality is the number one best seller. Nutrition is key to supporting a healthy happy energetic day! Dale and I LOVE these products and cannot believe how we drag by 4pm if we do not take them. I have never been able to tell a difference when I take my vitamins and when I don't, until now. Who knew I'd ever be the person that looked FORWARD to swallowing my pills, because of the amazing energy to come!? Madness I tell you. ;) My favorite oils for energy boosting are Wild Orange and Peppermint. They smell SO SO good in the diffuser! Watch this video on LLV Vitamins by Dr. Axe:
F is for Fluff
Slim and Sassy is called our Metabolic blend, and its great for curbing appetites and boosting metabolism. It also supports healthy blood sugar levels! Grapefruit is also effective for this, and tastes great in water. (No plastic drinking cups, only glass or stainless steel with oils) Grapefruit is wonderful for erasing cellulite! I lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks by making a "Fluffy Rub". I mixed 30 drops of Slim & Sassy with 15 drops of grapefruit and whipped it with creamy coconut oil for a homemade lotion. Rub on fluffy spots twice a day! Slim and Sassy also comes in gel cap form, not pictured, and GUM, which is amazing! Helps maintain an already healthy blood sugar level. AND helps with afternoon cravings for those BAD SNACKY CHOICES! :)
We also have of 3 kinds of Trim Shakes. I usually gag when I drink shakes, but not these, they are super silky like melted ice cream. My favorite is Orange Creamsicle! I blend it with vanilla coconut milk, spinach and frozen berries in my immerson blender. Your body will release fat better if you stop starving it of healthy fats. NO SKIM MILK. Do Coconut or raw or whole Vitamin D at least!
Dale and I actually crave these shakes for lunch, perfect for travel days or on the go! I add Chia seeds for an extra BOOST from this super protein, and a scoop of doTERRA Terragreens with all the best greens hiding inside.
G is for Grief
Balance is a grounding oil, like a lighting rod. It can help support the body during times of stress, focus and help with centering. Great for promoting restful sleep and for kiddos who like to wiggle! Console, the doTERRA comforting blend, uses sweet floral and tree essential oils to promote feelings of comfort. Cheer, with a sunshiny, optimistic aroma, doTERRA Cheer can counteract negative emotions and provide a boost of happiness and positivity when you are feeling down. See how it comes in multiple forms? That is for your convenience, you can buy the oils for diffusing, adding to a diffuser necklace or bracelet, or even making your own blends, OR Touch Roller form, meaning already has a carrier oil and ready to roll right on!!!
H is for Heat
Peppermint on the back of the neck, or on a bandana, will drop body temperature, and allow you to feel cool and refreshed. I also like to take peppermint water in a stainless steel bottle to the pool! Keep it in the fridge for a nice extra cool mist. When the body is hot for other reasons, you can swipe peppermint and fractionated coconut oil from spine to tailbone to naturally bring the body temperature back down.
I'll stop here for today and let you digest all that great info!

Welcome to the start of our A to Z Oil Series week!
We brought doTERRA oils into our home 3 years ago, and it was such a life changing gift. We haven't had to take our kids in for a sick visit in that many years, praise God! If you have clicked around on this website at all, you know how much of a game changer it was the first FOUR days we brought doTERRA into our home.
Haven't read about it all yet? Go up to the top and click on Our Story! Soooo, when I bought oils, I thought I'd only use them when we were not feeling good, boy was I surprised to find, we could use oils everyday, in every way, in every room of our home. Over the next week or so, I'd like to teach you a few of the ways you can do the same, Oils A-B-C style! The FIRST thing I want to talk about is, What is an essential oil? Watch this short 2 minute VIDEO before reading on:
doTERRA is the most tested, and the most trusted essential oil company on the market. They are 9 years old and have quickly zoomed to the #1 largest oil company in the world!
WHY? I think it boils down to 3 things: sourcing, integrity and humanitarian efforts. doTERRA believes that wherever plants grow native, is where they are their best. They believe in responsible sourcing and thinking to the future for sustainable resources. So instead of owning their own farms, or bringing all the crops to US soil to control the process from seed to bottle, they go over to 3rd world countries and hire local farmers to grow the crops for us. We call this Co-Impact sourcing! 85% of the farmers we work with, will only work with us, because they know we take amazing care of them and their families.
We work hard to maintain agricultural traditions, but also teach them better ways of growing. We teach them to wait for full harvest and not rush it. We pay all year long so this doesn't happen. AND, no middle men to gouge prices, we pay direct.
While we are there, doTERRA is dropping wells for villages that used to walk hours a day to find water sources, we build schools for the harvesters children, and we leave behind essential oil clinics for health and wellness.
One of my favorite videos is from when DoTERRA headed over to Nepal, as SOON as the disaster relief started, from the horrific hit they took in 2015 when several earthquakes ripped through their land. We get our Wintergreen from there.
Grab your Kleenex, and watch this short video about the beautiful people of Nepal:
doTERRA is a billion dollar, debt free company with a HUGE heart for others! You can read more about our effort in Nepal here.
Because of this heart for the hurting, we also have a Healing Hands ministry. DoTERRA partners with Operation Underground Railroad, Days for Girls and disaster relief alll over the globe. I am so proud to represent a company, so close to my own heart and my own faith and belief in giving back, living generously and helping those in need of care.
I am really looking forward to talking oils with you this week, and sharing my love and passion for these beautiful gifts of the earth!
What do you know about essential oils? Are you open to natural forms of healthcare? Hugs, T We went to see Gigi at the hospital today, she was having trouble breathing and they found a clot in her lung. Praise the Lord she is fine and home safe now! The kids set to work right away to make her a poster for her room. And we delivered a succulent from the Oregon wedding we all attended. Destiny is at a missions trip in Colorado Springs! Funny Paxton drew a picture of Gigi eating a big black jelly bean on his part of the poster. See her above the word soon? Her hand is coming up to eat a jelly bean. She has a jar of GIANT black jelly beans that Great Grandpa used to love. Now she stocks them for the kids. Paxton must find it very important to include it. CRACK ME UP! We said good bye to a few succulents we got as favors at the Oregon wedding, (black thumbs) but found some more at Home Depot when we were buying paint.... Meet Cassie, Patrick, Ellie and Sir Pokes A Lot! 🌱 R.I.P. Sucky and Spikes you were good little plants, sorry we killed you with our big black thumbs. In the midst of doing our place, cooking is the last thing on our minds, but I DO make a nice lunch each day. Pork Chipoltle Chopped Salad, Stir fry and whatever I can whip up with what we have on hand. I don't like to do hotdogs, but couldn't resist the kids when they found these HUGE foot long hot dogs and matching bun sizes. Avery wanted you to see a regular dog (case free nitrate free, organic....hey I am trying here) hotdog to compare. We pick different places to go as a reward for our hard work in the evening. We heard about a new place called The Barn in Burrton, KS. They had a magazine article written about their Chicken Fried Steak. Homestyle food is always a hit, so we scraped ourselves out of our paint clothes and headed to eat. I wish I had a way to show you how HUGE this thing is! WOW! Dale and I should've shared..... YUMMO! Can't wait to go back. I have never in my life had this kind of crisp and flavorful batter. We eat chicken fried steak all over the USA< this one WINS! :) For those just tuning in, we are building an apartment inside the RV shed we put up. Yes, we are still traveling. This will just be a hub, a stopping point. Along the way, I decided that RV is my home, I don't need another one. I decided to make this apartment "party barn style" with lots of funky colors and fun details. I love the 1950's, so naturally was drawn to pieces from that era, starting with an orange leather square chair, and a silver table with 4 sparkly grommet chairs. The rest, is history! So, we have a bath and a half. Upstairs is orange with retro white metal vanity. The downstairs, goes more with the shiplap, old wood look. We are currently painting this solid wood old dresser, to use in our shiplap bathroom of our new hub we are finishing. I'll show you it in a bit. The blue I selected, Behr Sky Watch, exactly matches the "Papa Wall" in the laundry room perfectly. This wall is pieces of fence from the one that ran along his driveway when he lived next door to us. He passed away 3 years ago, and we have been looking forward to finding a way to incorporate it into our apartment. We are using the blue fence posts, as legs for the laundry folding station. That silver is a hang down light that goes above. We aren't done, just resting the counter on them for now. The counter top is called Betty, and was one of the first items I found as the retro idea bounced around in my head! So the reason you clicked on this post in the first place, the DRESSER for the shiplap bathroom!!! :) (we had lots to catch up on first, RIGHT!?!?) My friend Elaine gave me some awesome ideas for the sides of the drawers. We are hoping to keep them as functioning as possible, despite the pipes that will run in the midst of them. First, I painted the sides white. I like Behr paint the best! Covers like a dream. I let it dry and then we used painters tape to create stripes.....Elaine headed home but before she left, she gave me some really really good advice! She told me to be sure to cover it with WHITE AGAIN, before moving on to the blue. This is KEY to creating crispy stripes. SERIOUS! It worked! I could HARDLY wait for it to dry so I could do blue already! Let it dry again, SO MUCH WAITING! Pulled the tape and viola, stripes! I am loving this little secret fun detail!!!! :) Put it all back together, with the newly painted SILVER drawer pulls, instead of gold, and here she is! Do you not LOVE those little retro handles!? I am so glad we kept them, instead of buying new like we briefly talked about. Ready to see a little sneaky peek inside to see the stripey drawers? EEEK! Can't wait to get some flooring in the house so we can move this vanity IN! Here is the flooring we picked, it is a floating laminate, lifetime guaranteed and has awesome different sized planks, textures and colors: Dale is working on getting the kitchen in, but then the flooring comes next! We worked all day Tuesday, it was a hot 101* but in the shade and shed it wasn't too awful. We are getting used to working in heat all day, I guess! Kids did AWESOME entertaining themselves! They built a town of cardboard houses, thanks to all the cabinet boxes. Elaine gave Paxton a great idea for a sky light, an old washer door! Avery started a pizzeria, using the scraps of wood from the ceiling, she and Pax made pizzas to sell. Too cute! They also swung in the hammocks, read and relaxed too. Tomorrow, we'll have more painting and things they can help with, although Pax did a great job paining the pulls silver, on the dresser today. I am giving you a break from house posts for a bit. Oh, but do I have some great things planned for you in the coming weeks!
I am SO excited to share something I am so passionate about..... :) Stay tuned! Hugs, T We had a great quick trip to Texas for classes..... Destiny's best friend and 2nd cousin, Brooklyn, got to come with us. They have been scheming for a year now, how to get her on a trip with us. This Dallas trip was perfect, because it was just 4 days, then back home. They had a ball! Class went great and we had almost a 100% sign up! YAY! More families whose lives have been changed in amazing ways..... We returned home and hit the ground RUNNING. We have 3 weeks to get the shed AS DONE AS POSSIBLE. So are you as tired of hearing about me painting, as I AM OF THE ACTUAL PAINTING?! SIGH. It's going to be worth it, it's going to be worth it. Haha, I would love to give you a super exciting update, but a lot of our day is still spent painting the house...the ceiling actually. Our sweet kiddos, get up in the am and come help us paint for hours. They get a water fight break in the afternoon, and then back to work in the evenings. Each ceiling piece takes 4 steps, and it involves lots of rinsing paint brushes, since we can only do small batches. They are such troopers! Go team Ferguson! In ONE WEEKS time, we went from this to THIS: Sweet Dale works the longest and the hardest. He is installing the ceiling for us and says the WORST part is cutting out the ceiling can lights. And installing all by himself! Poor guy! Love my mister fix it! It's looking SO NICE! I am painting trim, tons and tons of ceiling trim pieces. And, my favorite part... After months of looking, I found the PERFECT solid wood dresser to paint for our downstairs shiplap bathroom at a cool little store downtown called Renu. The price was right, and Dale had the truck. EEEK! It's finally happening! :) Here is a photo of a similar sink to what we are getting, except ours is a one holer. I even found a similar mirror!!! And, I just so happen to have an extra gallon of blue paint for the project. (we decided to do white banister instead of blue) AND, it the same shade as our Papa laundry room wall, so it totally matches that whole area. Thanks, Lord! :) While Dale worked on hanging ceilings and trim, I got to work sanding the dresser down. Look at this darling tag I found inside the drawers......it's so vintage and adorable! I am keeping it!!!!! :) Power tools and I do not mix, but I went for it, and it was surprisingly FUN and easy! And I didn't even sand through the top... We had already removed all the cool funky gold handles, those will be painted silver soon. I wiped off all the dust and got to work! I had barely gotten started, when I saw that I had dribbled a bunch of blue paint on our driveway while I stirred. Oops, in the dog house with Dale over this one. SORRY HONEY! This time I put plastic down and it was back to work! This dresser has these great little gold details that I will tape off and hand paint silver as soon as it dries well. Same as handles, and dome lights we have picked out for bathroom. It's looking nice I think! I am LOVING this color! I'll take the painters tape off tomorrow and get to work on the silver details and drawer sides. We are working on it TODAY! :) Guess it's a good thing I put down that plastic?! I'll update you on this project soon! My friend, Elaine gave me some FUN ideas for the sides of the drawers I cannot wait to try.

See you THERE...... :) Hugs, T My friend Jenny messaged me last night, and asked if we were writing verse on our walls before we painted. We had planned to pray over the home before me moved in, walking from room to room, but hadn't thought of writing verses!!!! I did a little research, and apparently it's a "THING". Cool! So I was thinking about it, and I remembered the verse in the Bible that talked about doorways, and writing on them, so I looked it up. Deuteronomy 6:6-9 says, "These commands that I give you today, are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates." So today, in the midst of painting, that's exactly what we did..... We picked a verse for the front door, and a verse for the back door..... Front door: Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Back door: Deuteronomy 28:6 as pictured below. Dale added 1 John 4:16. Each child got to pick a special verse for their bedroom door frames as well. They thought it was SUPER cool to write with permanent markers on the boards of the doorways!!!! Dale picked several verses, 2 for our closet doors and one for the main doorway from Song of Solomon. I even got a love note out of the deal! ;) I also had picked out one from Song of Solomon and wrote a little love note too. The verse I chose, was about my beloved. One of my favorite things about my "new" marriage is Dale treats me so much like his cherished one, his beloved. It brings tears to my eyes, and I know the Lord works all things for good, for those who trust Him with their messes. Praise God for beauty from the ashes, right?! Amen. The upstairs orange half bathroom got it's own special verse about patience, haha! Moving back downstairs, I chose a 2 verses for the Laundry room and 1 for the bathroom. We prayed over each room as we went, inviting the Holy Spirit to dwell here in this place, for the Father to grant us peace and joy in the walls of this home sweet hub whenever we stop through, angels of protection in Jesus name. You know? When we were all done, the whole place felt different. There are no words! We worked the rest of the day on the ceiling planks, we primed, then painted each one. Its very TEDIOUS with all those cracks between slats that take lots of time and attention, we do about 5 at a time on the main floor, and have another 6 going upstairs we rotate through as they dry. Dale rented a tool to help him start to get them up to the ceiling and in position. The hardest part of his day, is cutting around the ceiling lights. Poor guy! He is doing a great job though! The biggest trick is figuring out where to move them to as they are dry and waiting to go UP. We are figuring it out, but there is just not much room to move around these days! Stay tuned for more pics as we work the next couple weeks before our trip up north...
Hugs, T After my blog review of the capsule wardrobe I was sent from Agnes & Dora, you all had some GREAT responses! Surprised that you hadn't heard of them, excited to check the fabrics out, and all asking how to find out more about the items available. So here we are, planning a shopping day together! :) We can shop and chat, grab an orange julius and hit the racks, right?! Kinda. I have an even better plan, one that doesn't involve aching FEET, or walking the mall for hours trying to find clothes we like! :) YOU ARE INVITED, this Thursday, July 13th to an Agnes & Dora party on Facebook, from 6pm to 7pm MST! (That's 8pm to 9pm CST and 9pm to 10pm EST for you time zone challenged, like me) ;) We are going to hang out with Tara Eveland, learn more about Agnes & Dora together, and GO SHOPPING! I am so excited!!!! I am dying to get my hands on their dresses now and some more nice pieces. They just came out with cute new dresses and JEGGINGS too! Eeek! So you can take the orange julius to go, and get on your jammie pants! :) Let's hang out THURSDAY NIGHT! Just follow these 3 easy steps. 1) Follow this link and join this page, it's where the party is at: www.facebook.com/groups/adtaraeveland 2) Watch for the RV Oilers event posted and click GOING! 3) Anyone that RSVPs in the comments below and shops, will get a chance to have a FREE pair of leggings added to her order. Comment away and plan to come shop with me Thursday night! When our Garden City class got rescheduled, we took the 3 day window to buzz home before our OKC training and Dallas classes started. The dry waller called and he said our place was done! Eeek, so excited to go see it!!!! We had a long drive from Colorado, but pulling in to our driveway and seeing the lights for the first time.....oh my goodness, it was so nice! We have had people hard at work here since we left, and it's wonderful to see it come together. It was so different to see WALLS! So what better way to spend 3 days, then PAINTING? So. Much. Painting. Seriously you all, we painted for 3 straight days. ALL THE PAINTING!!!! And I have the blisters to show for it from the roller. ;) I have to tell you a sad story..... So, we went to Home Depot and they talked to us about using the all in one primer, and one coat magic paint. At $40 a gallon, it better be, right? But with a $10 rebate, it was the same price as the mid grade paint, so why not? Money back guarantee if i doesn't cover, blah blah blah, great we'll take it! Anyhow, so we paint the WHOLE house...... My sweet momma in law came out to help edge and brought us burgers and dogs, which she grilled and served so we wouldn't have to stop working. What a blessing!!! It was a long day, but the kids worked really hard and we got the majority of the main rooms done. Paxton only fell in the paint once. Poor guy! Hee hee, you can see his "splat" mark in our orange half bathroom. Gigi came out with Nana a few times, they brought fried chicken and HOMEMADE PIE! Mmm! Gigi played games with the kiddos on the front porch. They loved it! The dark wall is called Pencil Point and was a nice charcoal color in the sample. It's turned kinda blue for some reason, but hoping when we get decor up, it will still work with our scheme. So we are feeling happy and accomplished to have SO much day our first full day home..... Then we notice that the paint was sucking into the dry wall. WHAT IN THE WORLD? (looking more grey here, yay!) We did some research, turns out, you are STILL supposed to use Primer, even if the paint comes with it already in, for new construction. We just took the paint guys word for it! So Dale calls the Home Depot manager at 10:30 at night and nicely explains the situation. Manager tells us to come back tomorrow afternoon and he'll give us all the gallons for free, which will allow us to do coat 2. They were super nice and basically paid for some REALLY costly primer for us. Now, to redo the EVERYTHING. This time, my friend and doTERRA teammate, Elaine came over to help us. She is the master edger, so we put her to work. She refused photos, but I still wanted to give her a shout out on here for her good work! (AND yummy lunch and circus cookie Braums ice cream she brought out with her.) It's not done in this photo, but she free handed the edging between the smokey wings and pencil point walls. Niiiiiice! On the 3rd day of painting, my mom had taken the kids, so we were really able to get some major work done. Haha, love my little helpers but boy did I stop a lot when they were here! ;) Here are the finished rooms....hard to see, but this will give you an idea. Boys room is a grey beige called Gentle Wings, or bird something, and it matches their comforters from the old house, perfectly. They wanted the same room with the old car signs and oil cans again. The girls wanted teal or coral walls, but went with grey so they could have wall decor in teal and coral. They really thought it through! I cannot wait to show you their new comforters I got them for a STEAL at Overstock.com. Wait, I can go grab a pic from the website, hold on... I did our room in aqua.... I re did our master bedroom not long before we moved from our old place, so I am going with the same mustard, white and aqua bedding. I have to sell the king 4 poster bed set though. Its really made for a very large master suite, with taller ceilings, which I no longer have. So I'll be listing it soon! If you are local and want to chat about it, shoot me a message!!!!! It comes with a 4 poster king sized bed frame and beautiful top crossbar pieces, a large armoire (not pictured), oversized dresser and 2 tall nightstands. It was a $5000 set, so we are asking $2500 or fair offer. This is about as close to red, white and blue as I came on the 4th of July. SIGH. It's going to be worth it! Thank goodness, the kids got to go have fun at the 4th of July parade while we worked, because we did it, we got EVERYTHING done in its 2nd and 3rd coats! Destiny walked in the parade with her friend, Ivy. We finished painting all the white window ledges, a shiplap bathroom wall and we put up VERY special Papa Don wall in our laundry room. Check it out: This blue wood comes from the fence that was on Papa's property right next door. I have been saving it for 3 years almost, so we could uses it in a special way. Tears were flowing as it went up, that is for sure! I'll keep you all up to date as we progress! We spent 13 years of our marriage working on our one and only home, which was great, but exhausting. (Seems like whenever you dig into a 1920's farm house, you find 6 more projects.)
Having a fresh, brand new build has been SO MUCH FUN! I can see why people love it so much, there are so many delicious little details to work on and plan out. Come again soon! I'll have lots more to share from the apartment!!! Oh and NO, we are totally not done traveling, the RV is still our home sweet home, but for tax reasons we need a permanent mailing address. So why not build a party barn style apartment and RV shed, and make it a FUN place to crash out when we go through Kansas!? Hugs, T I got my nose pierced Christmas of 2016. I had decided that August, when I turned 35, that it was time to do it. It wasn't until Florida that I found a place, as we walked around the Christmas light strewn downtown area. Yes, I was more than nervous! Yes, it hurts. But only for a second, its a big ol' needle, so don't LOOK! They really have to push hard to get it to go through your skin and tissue. (shudders) All in all, after the big owie, its not even as hot as your ears get. However, your face will feel hot and will be swollen like you got in a fight. doTERRA Lavender oil to the rescue!!!! It was down substantially by the time we got to the car. I grew up in a conservative farming community and have Amish roots. My grandmothers family left the Amish church when she was 8. We grew up in the Mennonite church, and this the single, solitary rebellion of my life. Or an early mid life crisis? Hee hee! :) You can call it whatever you want, I call it SASSY. Well, being at the 6 month mark, means I can finally CHANGE out the piercing stud thingy. It used to fit fine, but the closer we got to half a year, the more it stuck out. SUPER ANNOYING! Looks normal enough right? Look closer.... BAM! Silver booger. Boo. :( So apparently, the nose is SO swollen from the needle trauma the first 6 months, they have to use a large L shape nose ring to accommodate. As you heal, the nose swelling inside goes down too, and this original nose ring becomes too big, and rotates around and sticks out. (Phew! I was glad to learn this, I thought it was just the shape of my nose holes or something!) This size difference means as I am talking, it works it way out of my nose hole. Middle of an oil class, middle of church, laying out by the pool, talking with someone, washing my face.....out it comes! And that means I need to push it back up in..... Well, I am telling you right now, no matter how sneaky or intentionally you try to do this, IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE PICKING YOUR NOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Annoying. That means its time to change it out! I found a highly recommended company called Alluring Body, to order a nice quality gold and diamond nose ring, and had it shipped ahead to my Colorado hostesses address. They really take the time to visit with you and see what fits your look and needs, so I'd recommend you email or call before officially placing an order. I learned from the consultant, that you have to get the L shape nose ring until the year mark, or you can tear your hole and damage it. No hoops, corkscrew or the rod style with the little ball on the end until later, like after a year. These things take lots of time to heal up! Eeek! Here goes nothing, I have been having nightmares about changing this thing out! What if I can't find the hole again? What if the new nose ring sticks out just like the old? What if I drop it down the sink and have to spend more money to get a new one AND deal with the silver booger longer? A towel in the sink in case I get dropsy and here goes nothing: EEEEK! I am freaking out! It feels so weird..... PHEW! That wasn't so bad. Only took a second to get this one out and the new one in!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! No more silver boogers! (Or gold in this case!) Look at the size difference: TA DAAAAAAAAAA!!!! I am in love! its gold and sparkly and not too big at all inside my nose hole! So what have I learned this past 6 months? 1 - KELOIDS are REAL! And they are yucky and hard to get rid of. I didn't take a photo, but here is one from google. A Keloid is basically a piercing bump. Here is a photo, not mine, but it looked about like this. Image credit. I was so sure I would never get a keloid, because I cleaned my nose ring religiously with on guard soap and followed instructions. I was super duper careful not to hit it or get makeup on it. And I didn't break the rules and change out my nose ring too soon, either, because that's what rule followers DO! ;) Things went well for a few months, but then I got hit in the nose by my buddy Pax. RIGHT on my nose ring. Oh my, did my eyes ever water! Next, I caught it on my washcloth, bam, pulled almost clear out. THEN (it musta been swollen at this point) I caught it on the blanket at night while rolling over....OUCH! And there it is, a yucky ol' Keloid. This happened about 3 different times, with various reasons of trauma, and lasted several long weeks before I found something that worked to reduce it in just days. I tried EVERYTHING..... Silver Shield to the rescue!!!! I'd put some colloidal silver on a q-tip and cleaned around the keloid outside and the nose hole inside. Was very cool and soothing and worked like a charm! 2 - BOOGERS BIG, giant plate like boogers that build up behind that little L shaped hook. It snuck up on me at first. Your nose is super tender and you don't want to touch it. One day I realized I couldn't breathe out of my left nostril. I don't like to dig and pick even when my nose isn't sore, so I grabbed a q-tip. HOLY BOOGERZILLA! No wonder I couldn't breathe anymore. It was like the wall of China, huge, long and nothing was passing through! So use a q-tip and be careful, but get those boogies out regularly so you don't sufficate. 3 - Re-Learn How To Blow Your Nose! The first cold is the worst. You can't quite squeeze and wipe like you used to, so you almost have to learn all over again. Kinda like when you were a kid and couldn't figure out the art of the Kleenex. At one point I just rolled the Kleenex really skinny and shoved it up in there to sop it up so I wouldn't have to squeeze. 4 - You MIGHT Be Allergic. Jewelry containing nickle, cobalt or white gold can cause allergic reactions. I had peeling skin and a super itchy nose until I started using coconut oil on it regularly. I knew I couldn't change for 6 months, so I kept at it, and kept the peeling and itching manageable. My new piece is called the 2mm Stunning Diamond 18k gold L shape post stud, and shouldn't cause any issues. 5 - Make Up Sponges Are Sneaky Little Nose Ring Snatchers! Beware! When doing your make up, you WILL get caught on the prongs of your earring, and it WILL pull out of your nose part way, down to the L. Slow down, take your time on that area, and you will reduce your chances of watering off all your eye make up, as you do lamaze to breathe through the pain and gag reflex. 6 - You will LOVE Your Nose BLING! I cannot believe what this did for me. It makes you feel pretty, a fun new something, but not bold enough to cause a scene. Just a wee bit of sass to add a lift to your step and a sparkle to our nose! After the year mark, I want to buy a little hoop! Good news is, after a whole week of having the new one in, I literally cannot tell its even THERE!!! Super light weight, no silver boogers, yay! I love the bigger diamond in a nice finish. I can blow my nose again!
If you decide to go for it, find a clean and well rated place to do it, buy high quality pieces once you can change your ring out, don't mess with it, or change to early, and enjoy the new, bolder YOU! :) Hugs, T Our last day in Colorado was spent at the Garden of the gods. It was pretty busy, and we had trouble finding parking, so go early, but WOW was it ever awesome. Start in the visitors center, its like a free museum with loads of neat info to arm yourself with, before you go to the rock formations. We hopped in our car and started meandering through the park, using pull offs and parking lots that had 2 openings, to park and go explore the area. There is a $500 fine for climbing the rocks, unless otherwise listed. We were thrilled to find that along the path and then again at Balancing Rock, you could climb and explore to your hearts content. Dawson brought his tripod and clicker, so we were able to get a group shot that is literally my FAVORITE of all of these! Love this group! We had promised the kids a night by the fire and making some Pie Iron Pizzas, for our last night in Colorado together. Pie Iron pizzas are super fun! And dangers, especially with 7 kids swinging around with scalding hot cast iron heavy swords if you will, but we managed. You spray each side with olive oil, sauce 2 pieces of wheat bread, and add garlic, meat, onion and cheese, close it up and cook over the fire. It comes out toasty and gooey like a hot pocket. Yummo! I cannot believe our time in Colorado is already done. We have had so so much fun!
Next up, we head towards Dallas for classes there! Are you in the area JULY 8th? Please join us for a FREE Essential oil educational class with ME! :) I'd love to meet you and help your family live better. You have 3 class time choices: 1, 3:30 and 6 pm. I am offering a free oil gift to anyone who mentions this blog and is not yet enrolled with doTERRA! :) Hope you had a safe and happy 4th of July celebration! Hugs, T The next day, we hopped in the car and drove the 2 or so hours to Cachara (pronounced Ka-churra) a teeny, tiny, quaint, little mountain town. Our Fercho friends have a family cabin up there, and they wanted to go check on it before everyone arrives this week for a HUGE 4th of July get together. Apparently when they got all that snow in May, it melted so fast it caused some water damage in the house. Chucara Valley is a town of all cabins, and this quaint little dirt main street with cute stores and restaurants, Inns and B&B's. They have tons of cabins for rent in the surrounding mountains! You guys, its totally a step back in time. You could smell the mountain air, hear the nearby stream, as we sat to have lunch at the famous Dog Bar Cafe, and you could feel the hustle of the real world, just melt off your back. Seriously. After an afternoon spent there, it was hard to want to "re-enter reality", even if our reality isn't that stressful! :) We walked into town, explored the area, went for a scenic drive and the kids played and played and played. They explored all the nooks and crannies of the cabin with it's 2 attic rooms and balcony above tall pitched tongue and grove ceilings. They sat and talked out on the porch swing, went looking for bears and just ran around laughing and calling to each other, as children do. It was hard to want to leave, but alas, it was getting late and we had a 2 hour drive back.
Someday you guys, SOMEDAY, I will have a little cabin tucked up in the mountains with a stream in my backyard. Someday. Hugs, T |
