doTERRA: Gift of the Earth

Welcome to the start of our A to Z Oil Series week!
Picture
We brought doTERRA oils into our home 3 years ago, and it was such a life changing gift.  We haven't had to take our kids in for a sick visit in that many years, praise God!  If you have clicked around on this website at all, you know how much of a game changer it was the first FOUR days we brought doTERRA into our home.

Haven't read about it all yet? Go up to the top and click on Our Story!

Soooo, when I bought oils, I thought I'd only use them when we were not feeling good, boy was I surprised to find, we could use oils everyday, in every way, in every room of our home.

Over the next week or so, I'd like to teach you a few of the ways you can do the same, Oils A-B-C style!

The FIRST thing I want to talk about is, What is an essential oil?

Watch this short 2 minute VIDEO before reading on:
doTERRA is the most tested, and the most trusted essential oil company on the market.  They are 9 years old and have quickly zoomed to the #1 largest oil company in the world!

WHY?  I think it boils down to 3 things: sourcing, integrity and humanitarian efforts.

doTERRA believes that wherever plants grow native, is where they are their best. They believe in responsible sourcing and thinking to the future for sustainable resources.

So instead of owning their own farms, or bringing all the crops to US soil to control the process from seed to bottle, they go over to 3rd world countries and hire local farmers to grow the crops for us.  We call this Co-Impact sourcing!  85% of the farmers we work with, will only work with us, because they know we take amazing care of them and their families.
Picture
We work hard to maintain agricultural traditions, but also teach them better ways of growing.  We teach them to wait for full harvest and not rush it.  We pay all year long so this doesn't happen.  AND, no middle men to gouge prices, we pay direct.

While we are there, doTERRA is dropping wells for villages that used to walk hours a day to find water sources, we build schools for the harvesters children, and we leave behind essential oil clinics for health and wellness.

One of my favorite videos is from when DoTERRA headed over to Nepal, as SOON as the disaster relief started, from the horrific hit they took in 2015 when several earthquakes ripped through their land.  We get our Wintergreen from there.
Picture
Grab your Kleenex, and watch this short video about the beautiful people of Nepal:
doTERRA is a billion dollar, debt free company with a HUGE heart for others!  You can read more about our effort in Nepal here.

Because of this heart for the hurting, we also have a Healing Hands ministry.  DoTERRA partners with Operation Underground Railroad, Days for Girls and disaster relief alll over the globe.

I am so proud to represent a company, so close to my own heart and my own faith and belief in giving back, living generously and helping those in need of care.

I am really looking forward to talking oils with you this week, and sharing my love and passion for these beautiful gifts of the earth!

What do you know about essential oils?  Are you open to natural forms of healthcare?

Hugs, T

I have been researching oils because I prefer a natural "medicine" over a prescription. I wasn't always this way but my dad passed away a few years ago after a long illness. He overdosed on OTR meds when he ran out his pain meds.He had developed a dependency to handle the extreme pain but those meds had in turn destroyed his stomach and liver. I wish I had known more about oils sooner to have been able to offer him an alternative possibly.

Oh Amanda, I am so so sorry to hear that. I love that you are using your experience to educate yourself on better alternatives!
We don't HAVE to trade health for side effects, there are awesome alternatives found in nature to meet our bodies needs. To take us from where we are, to where we'd like to go!
I look forward to empowering you and educating you throughout this series.
Hugs, T

I know practically nothing about essential oil usage, but recently purchased a diffuser and hope to learn more! I welcome any opportunity to learn about and utilize natural healthcare, and have found your videos so informative. I am particularly excited to try out alternate ways of treating migraines and back/muscle/joint pain, as I have heard so many mention positive results they have had with oils. Exciting!

Hi Tonya, I am a regular follower..have been since 2008 when I walked through the same thing you did in your marriage. God led me to your blog for encouragement and direction. Thanks for being real...because we all have junk! Anyway, quick question, how much to you usually on average spend a month on oils? Just trying to get an idea how much it would be for a family of five. I know that is tough because it depends on what you need, but if we did like a starter pack of everything?? Thanks!

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, welcome to our new blog! Glad you followed us over :)

I spend $125 or so a month on our doTERRA order, and I get vitamins for all of us, all the shower and beauty items, lotions, cleaning products and oils for our family to use!! I love being able to get such great prices on safe, natural alternatives to the junk at the store that our bodies just drink right up!!! Eww!
(I dont even go to that side of the store anymore!)

So, the cool thing about doTERRA's rewards shopping program, is you can makeover your home one bite, one order, one month at a time.
You can chose better for your family, save a ton of money, and be able to earn points on everything you buy.

So I save 25% wholesale discount AND 30% comes back to me in points that I can cash out on free items, PLUS I get a free oil (or oils) from doTERRA every month too! Its so awesome!!

The idea isn't to budget more each month, rather take dollars you are already spending on the store junk, with safe, natural doterra, straight to your door!

Hit reply and write back if you have any more questions :)

Hi Tonya,
I've just hit the 30% back in points level! Yay! I've learned quite a bit about oils in that year! Of course, there's lots more to learn, so I am very grateful for your posts, FB pages, and your RVOilers Blog!
I started this journey to make safe "chap sticks" for my little grand-daughter who just loved to repeatedly apply and lick the petrochemicals off of her lips...eeewww!
I was "sold" on them when the OnGuard wafted up from my vial necklace while folding the "clean" towels at work. Next was the improved breathing delivered by the oils I use to help with my asthma...for the first time in 9 years my breathing tests improved this past March to the point that the Dr. didn't push me to use the pharmaceutical crud...not that I complied unless I was having a terrible time breathing. Heck, one of the side effects is a Known Trigger!!! How does that help? Soooooo thankful for the oils!!!!

Please upload more movies related to cooking if you have, for the reason that I would like to learn more and more about all recipes of cooking.
