So remember how I got my nose pierced last Christmas! I wrote about it here.... Nose Rings: The Things No One Tells You After I waited my time and could FINALLY change it, I bought a gorgeous gold and diamond stud from Beyond Body that I LOVE. It felt safe and nice, but I knew all along, that eventually, I'd want to try a HOOP. Eeek! Fast forward a few months, and I get this great little package in the mail from a blog reader, Amy. Sweet Amy was so excited and thankful for the nose ring post, that she literally went out the next day and got hers done. WOW! Rock star status!!! :) She wanted to send a little token of her thanks. Here it is! What a FUN piece of mail to get!!!! Amy found these cool sterling silver hoops in 3 sizes per set, at Abbie's Jewerly in Ashville River Arts Mall. They are called the Goldilocks Hoop set. The reason they are called this name, which by the way is so stinking clever, is that there are 3 sizes to try! One will be too big, one will be too small, and one will be just right for your nose. I wouldn't have had ANY idea what size to order, so I was really thankful for a set of 3 to try on. The sizes are 8, 10 and 12 mm. Once upon a time, Goldiltonya wanted to change her nose ring to a hoop! She was so excited to have been gifted a box of not one, not two, but THREE! 3 beautiful nose rings! She went for the 12 mm first, because it was big and shiny, and when she measure it up to her nose piercing and nose hole, it seemed to be correct. She gently opened the ring and stuck it up her nose. Would she EVER get used to this part? ICK! She fished it around in there a bit, surprised how easily it found the piercing hole and peeked through the other side. OH MY, she exclaimed, this nose ring is TOO BIG!!!! Even before she closed it, she could tell it was going to be huge. No go. Out it came. She carefully pulled it out and tried the Momma Bear medium. It had to be JUST RIGHT. Nope, still too big. Sigh. That left the teeny tiny baby ring! How would something so so so tiny and dainty ever fit inside her giant nose hole without getting LOST on the way?! Should she leave a bread crumb trail? Give up and go back to the L bar diamond stud? She fished and twitched, she worked and worked, and viola, out it came out. Lo and be-HOLED, it FIT! YAY!!! Just right! And she squealed to herself and tried not to go cross eyed looking down at it because it was so shiny and pretty. And she lived happily ever after, the end. Ready to SEEEEEEEEE?!?!?!?! I am going to show you 2 ways to wear it. So cool thing about this nose ring, is the little bead moves. You can leave it out, mid way, or tucked inside for different looks. COOL! So, what do you think??? I am totally digging it! Its sassy and fun, also super light weight. Dale? Not so much. That stinker! But he hasn't liked it from the get go so his opinion doesn't count this time around. ;) Thank you, Amy for your thoughtful gift! I LOVE it! Hugs, T
Now that the RV side of the shed is empty, we called the spray foam insulation guy to come out and spray the attic and that side of the shed.
All was going well, we were doing school, hanging as a family and having a generally nice time when suddenly......
This AWFUL plasticy smell filled our apartment. Actually, it snuck up on us. School was done and I had had a lingering and nagging headache all day. In fact, I felt a little sick and had a gross taste in my mouth.
Dale and the kids came in from outside and said WOAH, don't breathe! It smells AWFUL in here!!!! Well thank the Lord we have 2 homes, one on wheels and one not, because it didn't take us long to decide to head to the lake for a view days while it aired out. I love the apartment, don't get me wrong, but it felt SO GOOD to be back in the RV again!!! Makes us antsy to hit the road!!!
We did school, fished, read books, grilled out. Vegged by the fire every night. Ahh, this is the life!
Dale was glad his General contractor gave him some time off from the apartment projects to go FISHING!! Too bad they weren't biting like sometimes. ;) He still had fun!
The kids just played and had a ball. Ty and Destiny floated around on the big floatie ring out in the lake, then Ty spent some time inside reading since the light still bothers his eyes, Paxton fished and chased his boat around playing Mayflower since that's what we are studying in school. The girls played spa and kitchen and then invented some slimy mud boots named SMOOTS. Quick fashionable, yes?
My favorite has to be the nights by the fire: s'mores and songs, laughter and worship.
Have you tried the new chocolate striped marshmallows? Holy amazing! I didn't even use graham crackers or chocolate, just ate the chocolate filled marshmallows! mmmmmm!
We ended the evening with our Goodnight song. We've been singing this to the kids since they were in the nursery rocking chair. Such a fun way to close out a fun day! :)
Destiny is holding the phone so you hear her the best, but Avery has learned to harmonize with her. Love when they all lift their voices in praise to their Father! Hugs, T I Love You, Lord from Tonya Ferguson on Vimeo.
Probably my favorite thing about doTERRA, is their Humanitarian efforts all over the world through not only the Healing Hands Foundation, but through the ministries they support like Days for Girls and Operation Underground Railroad.
"We want to create a culture of giving. We want to give a hand UP, not just a hand OUT." David Cook doTERRA is a billion dollar, debt free company with a heart to GIVE back to the hurting world around them. They lead by example with debt free living from the company to the owners themselves. Each year we get to hear at convention, how many lives were touched, how many dollars were donated, and what new projects doTERRA is taking on.... From new hospitals with doctors wages being paid for a year so people have care closer than a 3 day trip, to brand new school facilities with dorms, in some of the poorest nations in the world. This is in addition to the incredible care we give the farmers, who grow the crops we use for oils, all over the world. Last year, we had an OUR (operation underground railroad) do a whole segment of convention. He talked passionately about his work. They help free sex trafficked children from a life of slavery all around the world, and even here, in the United States. He looked around our convention, housing 30,000 oilers and said, if you take this times TWELVE, thats the number of people in the United States being trafficked for sex today. Chills. Check out this video, grab a kleenex, you'll need it. Serious.
doTERRA partners with OUR, not only by our beautiful HOPE oil, which 100% of proceeds go to this operation, but also, a special version of the oil itself is handed out to kids that are at risk of falling prey to this life.
7,000 units of this special oil have already been distributed. We are helping OUR mobilize forensic units for quicker and swifter prosecution, and now canine units to sniff out media devices containing images and videos. The dogs are 100% successful in their findings 100% of the time, and this is after officers have swept the home and called it clean of any more devices containing child pornography. They can smell a tiny little sd card, tucked into a floor board or curtain rod!!!! DoTerra has 2 dogs (one named Cinnamon Bark) being trained as we speak. We got to see one of these dogs, URL, (pronounced Earl) at work on stage. He sniffed those SD cards right out of the bags lining the stage!!!
That's not all, doTERRA helps with the rehabilitation process of these kids once they are rescued. Partnering with the Rapha House, art therapy centers and continued support as they heal and re enter society.
doTERRA has also committed to a "Protection" program, educating kids what to watch for, as victims are often tricked and lied to, before they are stolen for sex trafficking purposes. Another ministry we got an update from, was Days for Girls! Watch this short video!
Did you know in some countries, they still believe that a menstrating woman is a threat to the village? Bad luck? A curse? Did you know woman are forced to be isolated in sheds out with lifestock during their "mooncycle"? That they aren't allowed to touch the water, because its believed the river will dry up?
DoTERRA not only helps fund the making of these hygiene kits, but works to help Days for Girls educate and empower woman and villages on the beauty of becoming a woman. Without menstration, there would be no MEN, they say! :)
You can read more about this great ministry here.
doTERRA put together an opportunity at convention to help break the WORLD RECORD for most hygiene kits assembled in an hour. The current record was just over 1,002 kits assembled in one hour. The goal was to assemble 5,000 in that hour!! The representative from Guinness Book of World Records stood on stage and said, "DoTERRA had high hopes to beat the world record, but sadly, you all ran out of materials at 36 minutes, and could not complete the full hour of assembly. HOWEVER, in 36 minutes , you managed to assemble 5,110 kits, indeed breaking the world record!!!" The crowd went WILD, so stinking cool!
Displayed at convention; all the hygiene kits that were packed! Isn't it BEAUTIFUL!?
doTERRA's Healing Hands foundation is something we donate to monthly, in our shopping cart. Its the main doTERRA ministry.
The doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation seeks to bring healing and hope to the world, for lives free of disease and poverty, and to ultimately empower impoverished communities with the tools needed to become self-reliant. They also help with disaster relief in times of tragedy like the Nepal earthquake, or more recently, with donations to Texas and Florida for hurricane victims. Still have your kleenex out? You'll need it for this one too. What I love about this whole thing, is not only am I making a change in my home with health and healthy finances because of doTERRA, but every month that I buy safe natural doTERRA for my family, my dollar is bringing hope and change to the hurting world around me. It's amazing to be a part of something SO much bigger than myself, or than my mind can even grasp. Are you as impressed with this humanitarian company as I am? Join arms with us, let's change the world together, one drop of oil at a time! Hugs, T www.mydoterra.com/rvoilers One of the exciting things about Convention is that they launch NEW products every year! This year was exceptionally amazing! Let's talk about each oil and what they offer your family: First up, Siberian Fir! This is a great day starter when paired with Frankincense oil. Siberian Fir can positively affect many body systems. It's recommended for topical, aromatic and internal use! WOW. (usually we don't take fir oils internally!!) THIS ONE YOU CAN. Aroma: Evoke feelings of relaxation and rest, inhale to soothe dry airways ( this is powerful!) Topical: Apply to sooth skin irritations (rash, overstressed tissues, wound, bites), apply to calm overactive tissues and ease discomfort Internal: Use 1-3 drops in a capsule to support body systems (fyi it it has been used in a lot of different foods, as a flavoring agent) Application: Combine with a citrus oil for surface cleansing, use in combination with rosemary, eucalyptus, cypress for lime for clarifying aroma and respiratory, blend with tree, wood or floral oils to eliminate blemishes and healthy skin. Blue Tansy is up next. This oil comes out naturally a beautiful BLUE! And yes, it can temporarily make you a bit blue on your skin. Haha, just use a carrier oil and you will be fine. It makes your skin like silk! Blue Tansy comes from wild crafted sources but it is SUSTAINABLE and the quality is there. Blue Tansy is cultivated different than other flowers. 5 million seedlings will be planted every single year and then cultivated in late fall! dōTERRA is unceasing to protect this plant and benefits. Blue Tansy brings soothing relief, skin support! Aroma: Diffuse it to uplift the mood and create a positive environment (don't under estimate this power) Topical: Apply topically to soothe skin irritations, apply locally to calm overactive tissue and ease discomfort. (use on bottom of the feet) Great beauty oil!!!!! Can use for cracked irritated skin and function properly. Internal: NOT for internal use! Application: Use in combo with lemongrasss, mark, cinnamon for a warming and soothing tissue application after strenuous activity. Combine with cedarwood, frank, or geranium for skin clarification. Consider diluting it by adding 1-2 drops of your lotion or moisturizer. Have you ever heard of NEROLI!? This one is from Egypt! (the trees have been untouched since 642AD!) WOW!!!! We now have Neroli oil from the beautiful flower of the bitter orange oil. Did you know our spikenard oil comes from its leaves? Cool right?! There's beautiful history of neroli for fertility, calming, aphrodisiac. *Apply to reduce stress and anxious feelings.. use over heart, breathe it in *Supports healthy intestinal inflammatory response *When applied to a wound the wound will heal faster *Late stages of pregnancy on bottoms of feet, ankles, for wonderful relief *Improves hormone concentrations *Encourages feelings of intimacy *Cellular health optimization, helps regulate healthy cell production, regulates mTOR, an important regulator of cell death Do plants have personalities? Yes! Neroli invites you to let go and release!!!!! Next new oil is the Jasmine TOUCH! This rare oil hasn't been available before because it takes 21,000 petals for 5ml bottle, and 1.5 days of work! By putting it in a roller, we are able to use FCO and help this pricey oil be more affordable and available to everyone. It is such a delicate flower the farmers have to pick it at night before the sun hits the flower! *Jasmine helps you to feel liberated- Free! Great heart oil. *Helps maintain healthy blood pressure levels, over pulse points *Helps with labor and menstrual cycles for relaxation *Great for back massages, inhale it... *Wonderful central nervous system support *You can use jasmine internally (on the roof of the mouth) for mood boost So excited to also introduce a new permanent product from Bulgaria, ROSE touch!! Rose is considered the "Queen of Oils"! It takes 8000 roses or 242,000 petals for 5ml of rose essential oil. unique chemistry with staying power...when you put rose on your skin you smell it all day long, has a wax like quality (alkanes) *Rose is emotionally uplifting *Helps balance moisture levels in the skin *Reduces the appearance of skin imperfections *Supports immune response *You feel radiant, connected, intimate... *The shape of the rose looks like it is giving the heart a hug, this is a great way to remember the emotional support that comes from the rose oil. *The science behind both neroli and rose shows you will feel more happy and contentment after childbirth, it helps the body to naturally release the desire for pain medication. *Apply rose oil morning noon and night to promote healthy brain activity and boosts immune system. Emily Wright, one of the founders, shared a story about her daughter's concerning skin condition that could even be life threatening that she caught from a bouncy house at a party. She was using on guard soft gels and other oils but wasn't seeing the results she wanted quick enough. The doctor gave her a protocol too, but it would have taken her body 9 yrs to recover from this, yikes! She called Dr. Hill, he said, remember what scientist Nicole Parish found in her research about rose and its power to heal...bingo! She started using melaleuca touch and rose touch and kept her daughter on the oh so powerful on guard soft gels. Her skin was clear in 1 week!!! ONE WEEK!!! And there were other kids who had this too and all of them had the SAME RESULT of healing! (She did not say what the condition was due to compliance but you can guess..starts with an M and is a Really Scary Attack to her body). Rose, Jasmine, and Neroli all so soothing and smell so so amazing!!!! We also now have a really great set of oils for YOGA lovers! Also great for anyone needing some emotional support to get through the day! And the one you have all been waiting for, a cannabanoid oil called Copaiba!!!! (Co Pie Bah) This has all the benefits of cannabis oil without any of the negative (or illegal) side effects! Everyone is curious about cannabinoid oil. Everyone needs add this to their daily regimen!!!!!! I am happy to report my dad had immediate and lasting relief from this oil as soon as we gave it to him. He started sleeping deeper, his head discomfort of all summer went away, as did the band of discomfort along his lower back. Two drops under the tongue and applied to wherever he hurt did the trick! He could tell when it kicked in and wore off. WOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!! I am not sure how to explain all this, so I copied and pasted from a FB post about this great new oil: There are 3 different types of cannabinoid oil: 1) CBD-canna-bi-diol this is what everyone "thinks" they want. This is your hemp oil. 2) THC - well...we all know what this is--this is what gives you the high!! 3) BCP- Beta-caro-phyllene. This is Copaiba. There are two different pathways that this class of oil works on. The first path is to work on the CB1 receptors. CB1 receptors are found in our brain and central nervous system. The second path (The one you want) works on the CB2 receptors that target the endocrine and immune system. CB2 receptors are found primarily on the white blood cells. *CBD has very limited absorption and does not act directly on the CB receptor sights at all. So what's the point, right? *THC- reacts on both CB1 and CB2 receptors. However, as we all know it is illegal. It also give us that instant high with short acting effects. *BPC- Doterra's Copaiba oil is huge for our health. BCP reacts on the CB2 receptor sites. This oil is great for skin, heart health, mood and feelings of anxiousness, eye health, inflammation, discomfort, auto immune disorders, protects the liver, and is great for overgrowth of bacteria, a natural diuretic, eliminates skin blemishes, supports healthy blood pressure, and is awesome for respiratory support. Do you get the point? We all need this oil daily. Doterra also uses 4 different species of the copaifera plant to make up their Copaiba oil giving us the most benefit. A real power house. So exciting!! On to natural hand sanitizing and hand washing!!! We use On Guard for all things CLEAN at our house! Foaming hand wash for hand washing and used to make On Guard sanitizer for on the go hand cleaning, but now....... Truth. And antibacterial soaps are NOT the answer!!! On Guard Hand sanitizer is a great fight against Germs!!!! *On average people touch their face 18x a hour. *1 in 3 people do not wash their hands after using public toilets. EWWW! *Children miss 164 million school days because of sickness that could be prevented. *4 of 5 people do not wash their hands after handling money (MONEY IS SO NASTY) *2 out of 3 adults do not wash their hands after sneezing into them, or blowing their noses *ONE MILLION Deaths per year could be prevented by having clean hands. The solution? Introducing the newest member of the ON GUARD family-- On Guard Sanitizing Mist! YAY!!!! *Purifies 99% of the bacteria and germs that are on your skin, on the go ease *Moisturizing formula and has a natural ethol alohol *Antiseptic properties A bargain at only $6.50 wholesale. 5 PV We all want a good smelling home! Our favorite way to support our family in not only health, but making the house smell GOOD, is diffusing our oils! Oils used aromatically helps kill airborne pathogens and germs, support our family emotionally and make our home smell good. Meet the newest diffuser, and my new FAVORITE! It changes colors, runs 10 hours and covers even more square footage then my previous favorite. SOOO, how can you get your hands on these amazing new oils?

Hugs, T www.mydoterra.com/rvoilers Join & Save You know its been a good week when you sit down to blog it, and the words don't even know how to come out...... We have been with doTERRA 3 years, and all 3 years, we have attended their convention in Salt Lake City with our team. First 13 team members, then 48 and this year 98! What I love most about convention, is getting to hear from the farmers, how doTERRA has changed their lives, as well as the many ministries that take the stage, with thanksgiving to a company who loves to give abundantly and generously. Did you know doTERRA is a billion dollar debt free company with a huge humanitarian heart? THEY ARE! Its one of my favorite things about them. I'll talk more about that another day! So my dad came to live with the kids while we were gone. He said they did GREAT! They all had fun! Felt good to know they were in good hands as we left for our 2 day journey to SLC! DoTERRA's convention is the single largest event ever hosted in Salt Lake, with 30,000 people decending upon the city for 5 or so days. With all the oilers there, it sure SMELLS good too! Every hotel, every street, every restaurant seems to be teeming with oil lovers. Pretty awesome! The RV was SO quiet on the way down, I kept turning around to check on the kids. SILENCE> woah! We stopped and shopped in Colorado at this HUGE furniture store and found some deals on a black leather ottoman, 2 white night stands and a couple red pillows for the movie theatre room. I'll show you those items later when I blog the apartment! Dale gave me a ride out to the RV on a big rolling cart up on the ottoman like a queen. We ate out at this amazing little restaurant with grass fed, no antibiotic beef, fresh made frozen yogurt and hand cut fries. HOLY COW! Its called Good Times, have any of you eaten there? When we read their mission board about quality food, we were afraid the burgers would be like $10 bucks, but not at all. $5! The frozen Oregon Blackberry frozen yogurt still lives in my dreams, I must go back! :) After 2 long days of traveling, we arrived in Salt Lake! Time to gear up for one BIG exhausting amazing event! Up early and to bed late, hearts and brains packed to the brim with new knowledge and excitement! But first, a dinner with our favorite presidential diamonds.....at a great place called Ruth's Chris Steak house. YUMMO! The steaks came out sizzling in a plate of brown butter, and the cheesecakes they brought out for us to share at the end, ended up being one per person, like you got the WHOLE thing! Oh and was it good. We loved seeing all our doT peeps again! Wednesday started off with registration, swag store shopping and GALA. A formal dinner and diamond recognition night. This is the one we got to walk the purple carpet in last year, and this year got to cheer on our friends and uplines, Brian and Amanda too. Next year, there will be some Team Dorothy walking that carpet too! So excited for my girls! Since we are team Dorothy, there is a lot of red shoes happening this week. Not always at Gala but I have tried every year to do so. Now, if I ever wear a pink dress, it ain't happening! ;) Gala Slideshow First day of session was NEW PRODUCTS! And boy was it exciting! I think I'll take a whole nother day and just cover those, ok? We also got some exciting updates, like that doTERRA is adding 200,000 sq ft to their manufacturing center, and broke ground on a 40,000 sq ft medical center. They don't believe in debt, so all this will be paid for as they go. There will be 5 doctors to begin with, all using integrative medicine, acupuncture, chiropractic care and of course, ESSENTIAL OILS! DoTERRA wants to revolutionize health care! They are starting NOW. Dr Hill, with tears in his eyes, says "We MUST change health care - we WILL change health care." Yes, yes we will. Its beyond time. We got to hear from several scientists, doctors and nurses. DoTERRA is making waves in the medical world because of the purity standards of their incredible oils. Many medical journals to come! There are so many hospitals excited to start using doTERRA essential oils in house. Diffusers in every nurses station, a doctor whose first 3 questions are: How are you eating? How are you sleeping? What essential oils are you using? Major Hospitals are committed to leading the innovation and putting OILS to use! Exciting times! They want to see oils in the medical workplace! They want us to be reimbursed by our insurance providers for proven lowered claims from oil useage! She wants the hospital to smell like citrus, not "whatever". Haha! :) There has been an 84% increase in Rx useage since 2003. AND a 49% increase in out of pocket expenses! It is clear to say that health care is BROKEN. We treat symptoms by masking and bandaiding, or cutting and bombing the problem out. Dr Riggs spoke and told us that healtcare spending is at $9,541 USD per capita. "We spend the MOST and are the LEAST healthy IN THE WORLD!" What I love about oils is first of all, they were created by my Creator, who made my body to self heal with the right tools. Tools He provided in nature! DoTERRA's health insurance company made note of how LOW their costs were, because more oilers means fewer times of feeling under the weather and fewer doctors visits. We find that to be so true! Our family of 6 hasn't had to go in for a sick visit in 3 years now! Everything we get, I have an oil I can use! We learned about the power of On Guard from a microbiologst and a nurse who says a publication and 1 year peer review is about done, so that she can share her findings of On Guard inhibiting the replication of micro organisms. In laymans terms, it helped germs from growing back on surfaces for seven full days! The days are full of learning and the nights are full of FUN! Now that our team is bigger, we spent time team hopping from party to party, dinner event to dinner event. OH! And if you see goofy pics of us, we had a Dorothy scavenger hunt and they got points for completing silly tasks!!!! Friday night is traditionally our uplines Black and White Party! With a pop of color for each team there. We, of course, picked red! :) Dorothy red!!!!! Dorothy B, W & Red Slideshow Our brains were filled each day from 9 to 4 with AMAZING information about health care, oils, new products and science. Our hearts will filled with all the amazing things doTERRA is doing world wide with amazing foundations and ministries! More on that another day!!!!! Tomorrow, I want to go through new products! Eeek, so amazing! But first, I want to leave you with this quote from Dr Hill. There IS a doTERRA difference, and you can smell it, feel it and experience it for yourself. Hugs, T We finished moving in RIGHT before we left for Convention. I knew the kids and Papa needed a fully functioning home to live in while we were gone. We had lots of late nights working, but we got it done. Did you know out of 150 boxes, I brought in 15 or so, and 5 went back out? I kept books, games, and my kitchen. Otherwise it didn't come in the apartment. Now granted, I'll have keepsakes up in the attic, but I thought that was pretty good! Living SIMPLE is too amazing to clog it all up again! So we still have photos to hang, dressers to paint, night stands to buy, again with the bazillion remaining details. This fall, the electrician comes back out to do lights in downstairs bathroom and other jobs. The guy for the railing comes out then too. Still, progress is progress, and living, bathing, doing school, laundry and cooking in our new apartment has been FUN! So much to be thankful for in our BIG SPACE! Oven bakes like a dream! Nice and even. Couch and our headboard got delivered, eeek! All just in time to leave for Convention, but it will be a nice break and change of pace from all the moving and working! A month and 3 weeks later, its like a whole new place!!!!! PROGRESS! Thankful for this awesome Papa, who is staying with our kids while we are gone. They are having fun ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are SO excited to go to Salt Lake City and see our doTERRA Dorothy team again. A TON of team members are going. WOW!!! Year one, we had 13 go, year two 48, year three 78....God is SO GOOD! I can't wait to share all I've learned with you. Hugs, T
In the midst of the chaos of moving in, I got an email from Stitch Fix offering me a "free" fix, aka no styling fee, plus I had earned credits from the last time I blogged for them. We have a big convention coming up in Salt Lake City so I said YES. I have purged SO MUCH from my closet as we moved in, so I figure a few nice pieces added back in won't hurt, right?! ;) I didn't even bother taking the box home when it arrived, just tried it on right there at my moms where I get our mail, so I could drop the rejects right back in the mailbox. Stitch Fix always provides an already stamped bag for you to use, SO nice. Your stylist looks over your Pinterest board or selections from the style profile you pick out, and viola, great fashion, great fabrics designed to save you the trouble of running all over town shopping for good pieces. And I don't know about you, but I tend to go for the same kinds of pieces again and again, this helps me get out of my fashion rut. They always send these great little cards with ideas how to use the 5 pieces they sent. check it out: I think my stylist heard the words "I am going to a convention" and pictured me some fancy executive. {snort} We all know THAT isn't the case! Hahaha, but I do like some of the casual pieces!!! So let's see what the pieces look like....... First up, a red dress called Zola. SOOOO, this is SUPER TIGHT. I am NOT that dedicated to suck in this long. Cute but no, not fitting my lifestyle or trip at all. Next up, 3 of the remaining 4 pieces all in one outfit: Hate the shirt on me. Too baggy, too low and just too plain. I DO however, love love love the ripped jeans, super stretchy and soft AND THESE SHOES! OH MY WORD. They are so comfy. I am in love. These are a yes for sure. Last but not least, a blazer. A super duper soft, fully lined, navy blazer with striped insides. SUPER darling!!!! AMAZING fabrics. I'd want to wear it with a white lace shell under it, but alas, Momma didn't own one for me to try on. She did have this yellow one, so we shall try it. Um, no. MAYBE with a white lacey shell and some awesome dark jeans and heels, but no. Again not my style. We decide this was very much my MOM. So I made her try it on. Told you! She looks awesome in it!!! So, she kept it. Everyone wins with Stitch Fix!
Use my referral link and go shopping already! :) Hugs, T https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/3137778 So, it's not done, but want to take a PEEK at what we are working on?!?!?! :) Lots of little details coming together like brown travel sign painted orange, pale blue farm window turned robins egg blue to match the rest of the house, blue screen door to go on coat closet...... We eat dinner inside the apartment now, still paper plates, but yes, progress! New beds are UP! Unpacking antique treasures from the past year on the road.... Our room still needs to be decorated, but need to find white dresser and night stands first. Kids think the space under their loft beds is so cool! Onyx shower going in....Dale works so hard and has saved us tons doing these things himself. I am so grateful! To do list: finish the "Betty" countertop into a desk/folding station. Build a linen closet in bathroom next to shower. Finish kitchen grout and bring in rest of appliances. We've come a long way, but all these details to go........plus, SO MANY BOXES to dig through! 150 to be exact. I promise to update you soon, and when its done, we can do a GRAND TOUR POST!!! Or video or something fun so you can really see it. What do you think?
Yawn. Off I go to open more boxes...... Hugs, T When I last wrote you about our RV journey, we were in Minnesota enjoying ice cream and heading towards Wisconsin for doTERRA oil classes with our team there. It was a beautiful trip! Wisconsin is one of our favorite places, along with Michigan, Tennessee, Florida and of course, Montana!!!! :) Our friend, Linda and her family, were kind enough to invite us to Stony Acre Farms for dinner before our first class together. It's a farm to table experience, with homemade stone fired oven pizzas, made from only the ingredients currently available on the farm. Organic, stone ground wheat, all of it........ SUPER COOL! They encourage you to pack a picnic of sides and drinks and come eat out on their lawn between the barn and the house. If you are in the Medford, WI area, did you know they rent out the whole "dining room" for parties and events? AND, they also have barn dances etc. SO cool! Slideshow: Classes went GREAT and we have about 8 new people experiencing the power of essential oils in their homes! YAY! Natural healthcare rocks! In the 2 and a half years we have been on the road, we have been to 47 states. Poor North Dakota, we've just never made it up there yet. We always seem to be going west and east instead! :) I want to pin it on the Ferguson family adventures map on our wall. Montana is our favorite place on earth, and after we saw North Dakota, planned to head on over to Montana and relax for 2 weeks before doTERRA's convention in Salt Lake City in September. We were going to dive into school, work on some projects, and meet up with dad and Drea. Well, that all changed when we got a call after class about this special lady...... This is Dale's grandparents, he lived with them on the dairy farm all through highschool. Grandma had some dental work done, and for 6 months had to eat liquids only. At the end of 6 months, she was having trouble swallowing food, so they stretched her throat, hoping it'd help. It went right back shut. They were concerned enough they did a scope and found out she has stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and its in the lymph nodes. They gave her anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months to live. This vibrant grandma and mom to 10, went from working her giant garden and putting up corn all day Saturday, to lying in bed hardly able to hold the phone to talk to her kids, in a week. Mental game is a big game changer! She doesn't want to fight, she is 86 a has lived a long full life on this earth. She knows where she is going, and is ready to see Jesus. We made the decision to forgo our North Dakota and Montana plans, to head the 700 miles back to Kansas to go see her. It was the right choice! Dale decided to drive until the wee hours of the morning to make better time, so we tucked the kids in slumber party style and took off. They think this is SO COOL! They said there is nothing better then sleeping as you drive. I totally remember thinking that when I was a kid too. If we take the cushions off the booth, we can JUST fit When we woke up, Dale had already started driving again. He pulled over at an IKEA at 9am so we could check out their beds before we left the area. We won't be closer to one, so why not?! The kids mattresses are on the floors as of now, awaiting the day Daddy built them a custom wood bed with ladder. This stop would determine whether we were going to build or buy a loft bed. Not only did we find 4 beds for only $150 each, way cheaper than wood, we found the FERCHOS too! Our dear friends live only 10 minutes from IKEA, so they came to say hi and have lunch with us before we hit the road again. Right as we arrive home, the siblings all start flying in from different various locations, from Canada to Costa Rica, and each hosted a meal out at the farm, every night of the week. It was like a big family reunion. Grandma sat out as long as she could each night, before retiring to her room again. She still looks so good I think. Here she is with one of her sons during his time here with her. Great food and lots of laughter and fellowship. This family's ability to pull together is impressive and I love how close knit they all are! You probably had to be growing up with TEN siblings in one small farm house! While we are in Kansas anyhow, we will use this time to do some work on the apartment, and get it ready for this winter. We need to be able to pull the RV in the shed when it gets cold, so the pipes don't freeze. Well, that cannot happen until the apartment is done, because all the boxes that go in the apartment, are currently parked in the shed side! Its like a mean game of dominos. SO off to work we go! Pray for Grandma please, to have no pain as she finishes her days on earth. She is just such a precious soul!
